Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Mrs M. Hamling.
This course is through correspondence ONLY and the requirement is that students are native speakers of Japanese OR have completed Level 1 Japanese in 2022.
This course introduces about 75 new kanji characters and further extends the ability to read, write, speak and listen in Japanese. Topics covered include: the Japanese school system, land and people, leisure, work, family life, travel and tourism, eating and drinking.
Delivery Modes: This course is accessed through our online learning environment, My Te Kura. Ākonga will be required to make and submit audio and/or video recordings, so a microphone and camera or mobile device are essential.
You will need to have a conversation with Mrs Hamling before you are approved to do this course.
What should I have already done?
NCEA Level 1 Japanese course or equivalent, and have a Japanese language background.
