Course Description

Teacher in Charge:

Learning a second (or third!) language opens doors for you in the future. Being able to communicate in another language is a valuable life skill that will set you apart from others in a competitive job market. This course follows on from Level 1 French. You will learn to communicate further in French across a range of contexts. You will learn to understand and reply to spoken French more freely and in new situations. Reading and writing skills are further developed and you will gain an increased vocabulary for a range of useful real-life topics and a deeper understanding of French culture and ideas.

Topics include friendships, shopping, eating out, cinema, school, self and family and holidays. We will watch a French film during the topic on Friendship as well as some presentations from the National French Advisor on areas of France. Students work in small groups or pairs. See the Connected Jobs section to see where a language could lead you in the future

Students should have completed Level 1 French prior to this course.
