Course Description

You will read and analyse a variety of written and visual texts for personal enjoyment and to extend your literacy skills. You will develop a discriminating understanding of how language features are used to present ideas and will extend your information literacy. Key skills include critical thinking, the effective use of reading strategies, and writing for a specific purpose.
Where does it lead? L2ENS leads into L3EAO or L3ENG. In addition, it develops the literacy skills needed in all subjects in the senior school and in careers involving written or spoken communication.
What should I have already done?
Students taking L2ENS should have shown sound understanding and skills in 11ENG or 11ENS.
