Level 2 Pathways

Although next year timetables are yet to be finalised, course selection is now finished. Any changes to student courses will now take place in January.

Course Description

The Level Two Pathway course is designed to develop your life and employability skills and help you prepare for your next steps. Pathway is a full in-school program,  if you apply to be a GATEWAY student you need to be in a Pathway class and you will get to go out to work one day a week to explore your chosen industry.  

TRADES ACADEMY such as USKILLS, provide the opportunity for you to attend a year-long course where you will gain credits while attending your course which could be at UCOL for one or two days a week or on a farm with PITO. 

To indicate your interest in either GATEWAY you can fill in the below google form or pick up a form from Pathways beside R73.

 TRADES ACADEMY ie: USKILLS, PITO you need to come to the Pathways Department to pick up an application form to apply. 

These opportunites give you the chance to explore a vast array of industries from Agriculture, Infrastructure, Construction, Medical and Health Pathways, Beauty and Hair, Animal Care, Early Childcare, Plumbing, Electrical, Administration, and many more. Please note this is a unit standards course. This means that you can get credits towards your Level 2 NCEA, but they are only marked as Achieved or Not Achieved.

To be considered for the 2025 Gateway places you must complete
