Year 9 Dance

Although next year timetables are yet to be finalised, course selection is now finished. Any changes to student courses will now take place in January.

Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Mrs T. Price.

The expression of ideas through movement and various dance forms. Students integrate thinking, moving and feeling; and develop literacy in dance as they learn about, and develop skills in, performing, choreographing and responding to a variety of genres from a range of historical and contemporary contexts.


What should I have already done?

You should have a genuine interest in developing skills in the physical aspects of dance as well as a desire to learn about background and contexts of a range of dance genres. You do not need to have any dance studio experience to enjoy and excel in this course, however if you do, you will be challenged to advance your skills.
