Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Mrs N. Ward.

You will read a variety of written, oral and visual texts for your personal enjoyment and to extend your literacy skills.  You will develop understanding of how language features and structure are used to present ideas and will produce your own written and visual texts.  Key skills include critical and creative thinking, the effective use of reading strategies, and the crafting of language to communicate ideas for different purposes and audiences.


Where does it lead?  11ENG leads into L2ENG courses and develops the literacy skills needed for any career involving written or spoken communication.

What should I have already done?

Students taking this course should be reading and writing at curriculum levels 4-5 at the end of Year 10.
